Terms of Service
Effective: March 1, 2026
1. Service Description
Fluentessa ("the Service") is a tool that adds inline English translations, grammar annotations, and pedagogical notes to French text the user provides. The Service is provided by MicroSaaS Labs. The Service does not select, curate, or distribute books — it processes the source text submitted by the user and returns the annotated version to that user.
2. User Representations and Responsibilities
By submitting a book to the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the source text, it is in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or you otherwise have the legal right to make a derivative work from it for personal, non-commercial use.
- Your use of the Service to process the source text does not violate any copyright, trademark, contract, or other right of any third party.
- You will not submit content that is illegal, infringing, or otherwise unauthorized for you to process.
The Service does not verify the copyright status or ownership of submitted files. Determining whether you have the right to process a given book is your responsibility, not ours.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MicroSaaS Labs and Fluentessa from any claim, demand, or damages — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or related to source text you submitted to the Service or to your use of any output generated from it.
3. Acceptable Use of Output
Generated bilingual editions are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not redistribute, resell, publicly share, sublicense, or make any generated book available to third parties. See the Book License for full terms.
4. Intellectual Property
The original text of any book you submit remains the property of its copyright holder. Fluentessa does not claim ownership of source text submitted to the Service or of the annotated version of that source text. Branding such as the cover-page attribution ("Made with fluentessa.com") is tool attribution, not a publishing or copyright claim over the source text.
The translations, annotations, and grammar notes that the Service produces are AI-generated and licensed to you under the Book License — you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use them within the generated book.
5. Copyright Complaints (DMCA / Takedown)
If you believe a generated book violates your copyright, contact support@microsaaslabs.com with: (a) identification of the work claimed to be infringed, (b) the user or order in question if known, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder. We will investigate, and where appropriate disable the relevant output and the account involved.
6. Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed via Telegram Stars. Prices are displayed before you confirm payment. If the Service fails to deliver your book after payment, a refund will be issued automatically where possible.
Refunds for successfully delivered books are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for assistance.
7. AI-Generated Content
Translations and annotations are produced by AI language models using a multi-stage quality pipeline that includes verification at each step. While the system catches the vast majority of issues, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is a language learning aid, not a certified translation service. If you encounter any inaccuracies, please let us know through the feedback form.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. MicroSaaS Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from any third-party claim related to source text you submitted. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific transaction in question.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
